About
Gallery  Thirteen

Gallery Thirteen opened in November 2023. After stepping away from a career in teaching due to mental health struggles, I found myself without a sense of purpose. Opening a gallery felt like the answer, both for myself and for the local artists who had few places to show their work.

In nearly three years we’ve shown over 100 artists in a wonderfully eclectic mix of styles. We’ve taken over the walls at Olivers Cafe, and I’ve become Chair of the Haslemere Art Society. Supporting and showing local artists has always been my passion.

Now we’re entering a new chapter as The Creature Den. My own brand, Crabby Creatures, has grown enough to need a permanent physical home, and we’re also welcoming the local hobby community into the space.

Supporting local art remains at the heart of what we do, and half the space is dedicated to it. Local artists are welcome to rent a wall, a window, or even half the shop. You can also join the Art Society for extra support, or get your work seen on the walls of a busy, popular local cafe.

Want to show your work?

If you’d like to hire the space and exhibit with us, please email some photos or links to your work, along with a little information about you, to gallerythirteenhaslemere@gmail.com. You’re also very welcome to pop in and visit us.
